What happens to saved programs after tivo service is turned off?

Hey everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone knows what happens to saved programs once the tivo service is disconnected (canceled). I have all the programs saved as, “Save until I delete.” We are moving and so I am going to disconnect service and maybe start it up again in about 5-6 months. But I am mainly curious as to the programs I have currently saved on the system. Also will the system let me watch them even if the service is disconnected ?

Has anyone ever tried this, or knows for sure what happens?! ….Thx.

    Hi Fairy Godmother.

    Your programs will be fine.

    We canceled the service on a TiVo a few months ago because we got a new one.

    I can see all my stored programs and watch them as I normally did but I can’t record new programs. It just says “program data not available” if I try to record.
