What do I need to use TIVO with my new HD TV?

Now I have a regular (non-HD) TIVO box and a regular cable box from Comcast. If I get a TIVO HD box, do I still need to get an HD cable box from Comcast (my service provider)? If that’s the case, it probably makes the most sense to give up TIVO and rent DVR from Comcast, right?

    i believe tivo series 3 replaces the cable box

    Except for VOD and PPV, you can get rid of the cable box with an HD TiVo.

    It depends on your priorities whether the cable DVR or a TiVo HD is the better deal.
