Can I make a Phillips Direct TV DSR704 Tivo still work with Direct TV?

My friend gave me a Phillips brand Tivo box. It says “Direct TV” right on it and is model # DSR704. I know Direct TV offers there own dvr recording service instead of Tivo, but is there any way I can still make this Tivo work with my Direct TV? And if so, how do I go about hooking it up? Thanks for any tips!
