I have a directtv dvr(that i hate! the dishnetwork dvr is alot better) But you can not watch the recorded programs except only where the dvr is located. I have a tivo series2 box and was wondering if i could put it in the upstairs bedroom as a replacement for a standard directtv box. Will I have to still pay for a tivo subscription?because i already pay for a dvr subscrption from direct tv.
