How do I transfer shows from my TIVO to a DVD?
December 4, 2008 by admin · 6 Comments
I have both a TIVO and a Dirtect TV DVR. I would like to transfer some of the programs to a DVD, can I do this? How?
Does anyone out there have TIVO? Not the service from Direct Tv or DVR from your cable company?

Just regular TIVO. I am thinking of getting it because I have DVR and I can only watch what I am recording. I saw on TIVO you can get a splitter and watch something and record somthing else. I just wondered how do people like the TIVO service and if I should switch. Let me know. ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE REGULAR TIVO..NOT DIRECT TV — I HAD THAT BEFORE I KNOW ABOUT THEIR SERVICE.
My cable company does not have anymore that will let you record and watch. They have a waiting list right now and I have been on it since well before Christmas. Thats why I am switching. There is no other cable sevice in my area!

Cable or Satellite Tv? How About Directv!

If you are still putting yourself through the daily problems and hassles caused by cable TV maybe it is time to look at your other options. I am sure that everyone who has ever owned a cable box and or cable service could make a list a mile long of problems they have had with cable. Not only is cable extremely limited in it’s own field (entertainment in general) there are countless other problems that many people have grown to accept as a standard. The first thing that the regular behind the times guy (or girl) needs to realize is that cable has become completely and totally obsolete. Now with satellite TV from DirecTV you will not even have to rush home from work to catch your favorite show (with the risk of missing it) anymore! How about dealing with a Video Cassette Recorder (also known as the VCR)? Who doesn’t have a long list of stories detailing the problems they have had with one of those old fashioned devices? Everyone knows how much trouble it is to try to set up their VCR to record a program later in the day. There really is no guarantee that it will record the show. How about simply recording on the wrong speed and ending up only getting the first half of the show. Boy that is really the most frustrating part, you were all hyped to see the new episode, and now you have to wait and hear about the ending from your friend who has TiVo and a Digital Video Recorder (also known as the DVR).
With DirecTV you will never have to worry about all of those problems again, ever! DirecTV offers a very very wide variety of programming packages that includes packages designed for every type of entertainment style. If you are more geared to sports, DirecTV has a package for that. If watching new movies on your very own home theatre system is your thing, than DirecTV has a package for that! If you like a little bit of everything, well DirecTV has many different packages that offer a little bit of everything to just about everything. The beauty is that DirecTV offers such a wide variety of programming packages that you can get the perfect package for you, hands down. Not just the perfect channels but also at the perfect price. Never before has satellite TV been so affordable, than it is now with DirecTV. Although that is not to say that DirecTV does not offer deluxe packages that have much much more. Every DirecTV programming package has great value though, regardless of how much it costs, guaranteed.
Now, of course, for the TiVo and DVR. DirecTV offers incredible value again with it’s TiVo and DVR systems. With the combination of TiVo and DVR you will be able to pause, record, and rewind live television, no joke! Not only can you record live TV, you can actually store hours upon hours of television programs, all at the touch of a button. With the combination of DirecTV’s packages from fifty to 250 watch-able channels and TiVo with DVR, you will wonder how you ever got along with just cable!
