I have a TiVo series 2 DVR. How can i get better picture quality?
March 22, 2008 by admin
My tivo is hooked up to a 45 inch 16:9 aspect ratio tv. It is HD, and i’ve noticed that the main menu on the tivo looks fuzzy and not very good quality resolution. it looked better on my old cathode ray tube tv. some of the new features on the tivo, such as swivel search are good quality picture ( i mean as far as the menus and stuff goes) but the main tivo screen, and basic menus that have always been there look bad. is there any mods or hacks, or updates i can use to fix this? (note- my tivo is hooked up to a wireless broadband home network. it updates automatically and IS up to date.) thanks for your help!!!!
sorry. i should have made myself more clear. i’m not talking about the recording quality.i’m just talking about the tivo menu screens. and i’m using component cables. or whatever the red, yellow, and white ones are called.
aparently i’m still not clear enough. it’s not the video quality! it looks fine enough. i just mean that the menu (ie- tivo home screen, now playing, etc. ) doesn’t look that great. some of the newer added features like swivel search, their menus look nicer and crisper.
it has nothing to do with how the tv is connected. why is it so hard to understand!
