I want to get a tivo and an apple tv but I don’t want to purchase or rent movies through the apple tv. I just want to use it to watch my movie library on my tv. Can I do that with the tivo or do I need both?

How do I get past error N18 on my Tivo?
I recently switched from Comcast/Time Warner to Verizon FIOS. The only thing that changed in my system was going from my wireless router to theirs. Now Tivo won’t connect for a programming update. It gives this error N18 and tells you to unplug Tivo and try again. I have done this multiple times, but still the error remains. Please help if you have run across this before! Thank you.

I have both a TIVO and a Dirtect TV DVR. I would like to transfer some of the programs to a DVD, can I do this? How?

Can anyone recommend a TiVo substitute that will work with Directv Satellite service?
I’m finally getting rid of my TiVo. I loved it immensely but as a gift for Christmas last year I got free DirecTV HD satellite service. While I can get the TiVo SD to record things it has limited functionality now. Since I’m at the end of my contract I’m getting rid of it.

I have at&t dsl (speedstream 5100b) and a tivo series 2 dt. I don’t need a wireless router but am lost in “router world”! Will any router work. Do I have to buy one that says its a dsl router? Any suggestions? Current TIVO subscribers,if you could recommend a decent router that has worked for you.
