I purchased an extra remote for my regular Tivo Series2 and didn’t realize it was the DirectTV branded one until I opened the package. Can I still use this with my DVR?

I want to get a tivo and an apple tv but I don’t want to purchase or rent movies through the apple tv. I just want to use it to watch my movie library on my tv. Can I do that with the tivo or do I need both?

I recently switched from Comcast/Time Warner to Verizon FIOS. The only thing that changed in my system was going from my wireless router to theirs. Now Tivo won’t connect for a programming update. It gives this error N18 and tells you to unplug Tivo and try again. I have done this multiple times, but still the error remains. Please help if you have run across this before! Thank you.

I have two Tivo boxes. Do I need to pay for both or is my service stay the same as using just one? I use one already but would like to use other one in my bed room. I cant find anything about if the one price covers more then one Tivo.
